ELEPHANT STEW

  • 1 fresh elephant
  • 1/4 c ea., salt and pepper
  • prepared brown gravy
  • 2 rabbits (optional)

  • Wash and cut elephant into bite-size
pieces, reserving trunk for later use.
    This should take approximately
    two months.
  • Place in extra large cast iron kettle.
Cover with brown gravy and add
salt and pepper. Cook over fire pit for
about four weeks at 465 º.
  • This will serve 3,800 people. If more
are expected, the 2 rabbits may be
added but do this only if necessary
as most people do not like to find
    hare in their stew.
  • Reserved trunk may be used for
    storage of leftovers.
